Marianne Giselle  grew up at the suburbs in stockholm, Sweden. Music is her biggest passion and she holds all kinds of genres in her heart and soul.

 

She first discovered that she wanted to start singing when she bought her first Janis Joplin Album.

     "I was watching a movie with my  parents one day, I think I was 12 or so,  and I heard the song "Cry Baby" With Janis, It felt like an explotion inside of me, her sensibility touched me so and her incredible voice really blew my mind away! I ran to the record store the next day"

 

Marianne started to take singing lessons at the age of 15 when her vocal teacher urged her to look into classical music and musicals.

      "I have listened alot to Sarah Brightman and Phantom of the Opera, it is one of my biggest musical influences, my dream was actually to act and sing in a musical."

 

Years after taking drama lessons and being on different schools and projects with friends, Marianne decided to move and study vocals and theater in full time.

    "I applied for an education and after a nervbreaking audition I got in, so i packed my bag, found a little appartment and moved, best decision I ever made!"

 

In the mean time while studying, she discovered another of the biggest music inspirations of her life, the man who changed her life , Jeff Buckley.

     "I remember coming home late one night all tired and stuff but I couldn´t really sleep so I put on my headphones  and tuned in my favourite radio station p3 live. It was a documentary about this guy that I had never heard of, he was so real, so pure and he sang right into my heart! I will never forget that day, it really changed me... he was  the one who completely had everything i grew up with musically."

 

After school Marianne started to work full time in a hospital as an administrator and laboratory technician. Alongside working in the hospital, Marianne is helping out with different music projects and recording her own material. She is also singing in a Opera choire and soon you can see her perform and post songs and videos.
